Vadim Bušovský began to play guitar at the age of 14, but it was not until he was 19 years old that he started to study the instrument systematically under a guitar mentor. He took private guitar lessons under the guidance of the guitarist and composer Igor Jančár from 1991 to 1994.
In 1997, he came in first place at the Prague guitar competition, ‘Gitariáda’. Vadim Bušovský is the Dorian Gray hard rock trio’s guitarist, singer, song writer, producer and founder (1992). His professional career in music started in the year 2000. Since that time he has also been giving rock guitar lessons.
He has produced three albums. The first album, recorded in 1998 under the title Dorian Gray 98, was only released as late as in 2008 as a double album, together with the latest CD under the common title ‘It Is Your Business Too’.
The second album, ‘Dorian Gray’, was recorded in 2000 and released in 2001. He belongs among the leading guitarists playing rock music. Besides the Dorian Gray rock band, which is his full time commitment, rock fans could see him play with Mr Big’ s bass guitarist Billy Sheehan as well as with one of Slovakia’s best guitarists Henry Tóth, singer Marián Greksa, the outstanding Oskar Rozsa, and Marin Valihora.
As a song writer and guitarist he has participated also in the CDs of singers such as Robo Mikla or Anka Repková
Presently he has been devoting all his energy exclusively to the Dorian Gray trio and the preparation of a new CD.
